Car companies are continuing to churn out smaller vehicles as we see a majority of governments putting harder regulations on emissions as well as higher taxes on gasoline. Throughout history we have never see the efficiency of engine design like we have today. With engineers utilizing direct injection technology we are seeing 100% gasoline combustion engines linked to a six-speed automatic getting a mid-size sedan 40 plus miles for each gallon. This efficient technology coupled with hybrid design and regenerative braking allows these vehicles to produce some serious mileage and since hybrids are more productive in city driving as it requires much braking equals more charging of the electric battery system. Companies such as Hyundai are reeling in the skeptical car buyers that have stayed away from hybrids as they have feared the cost of replacing the master battery pack as it can cost in excess of three thousand dollars. To help gain the customer trust in this technology Hyundai has issued a warranty on the master battery for the life of the car. With this warranty and the possibility of receiving a government tax credit as well as the ability to drive in major cities HOV lanes means more and more individuals will probably find themselves driving hybrids. And with the continual advancements in battery longevity and power production we will see hybrids slowly start being replaced by fully electric vehicles. So for 2013 cars coming out we will see more and more electricity being produced making for a renaissance of our time.
